Demolished or destroyed.
The original 1 World Trade Center, also called the North Tower, was one of the Twin Towers of the World Trade Center complex in Manhattan, designed by Minoru Yamasaki and built between 1968 and 1972. At 1,368 feet (417 m) it was the world's tallest building until 1973, when Chicago's Sears Tower surpassed it. It was distinguished from its twin by a 360-foot telecommunications antenna, and it was destroyed in the September 11, 2001 attacks.
