Abbaye de Beauport is a Gothic abbey near Paimpol in Brittany, founded in 1202 and now a classified historical monument. Also known as the Abbey of St. Budoc, it was a Premonstratensian house in the Pays de Saint-Brieuc, with authority over commercial and maritime trade as well as the spiritual life of the region. Its surviving structures, damaged during the French Revolution, were later championed for preservation by the writer and historian Prosper Mérimée.
