The Abel and Mary Nicholson House is a brick dwelling erected in 1722 in Elsinboro Township, New Jersey, and represents an outstanding example of Delaware Valley patterned brickwork. Its vitrified bricks are arranged in geometric designs that include the date of construction, a distinctive feature of the regional style. Built in the Georgian architectural tradition, the structure has remained largely unaltered since its completion and has benefited from preservation grants to maintain its integrity. The house was recognized as a National Historic Landmark in 2000 for its architectural significance and is also listed on the New Jersey Register of Historic Places and the National Register of Historic Places.
