Aberdour Castle stands in the village of Easter Aberdour, Fife, Scotland, where parts date from around 1200, making it one of the two oldest datable standing castles in Scotland. It began as a modest hall house overlooking the Dour Burn, became a tower house in the 15th century, and received a final Renaissance-style addition around 1635. Its terraced gardens, dating from the mid-16th century, are among the oldest in Scotland. It is now in the care of Historic Environment Scotland.
