The Accra Ghana Temple is a modern-style temple of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Accra, in Ghana's Korle-Klottey Municipal District. Announced by church president Gordon B. Hinckley on February 16, 1998, it is the church's first temple in Ghana. The single-story building, over 17,500 square feet, was designed to reflect local culture and environment, using native materials such as Makore wood and Namibia Pearl granite. Hinckley dedicated it on January 11, 2004.
