The Admiralty House (Amiralitetshuset) stands on the islet Skeppsholmen in central Stockholm, Sweden. Built in 1647-50 as the Admiralty Board of Sweden moved to the islet, it was probably designed by the Dutch architect Louis Gillis in a Dutch Renaissance style with stepped gables, though only the limestone portal survives from that period. Redesigned in 1844-46 by Fredrik Blom as a Neo-Renaissance building with corner turrets, it was rebuilt in 1952 by Rudolf Cronstedt and today houses the Swedish Institute of International Affairs.
