Afushteh Ab Anbar is a historic water cistern in Natanz County, Iran, built in the Safavid and Qajar architectural styles and designated as an Iranian National Heritage site. Standing 8.4 meters tall, the structure was constructed using brick, marble, plaster, and tile—materials typical of Persian water management architecture of the period. As an ab anbar (underground or semi-subterranean water storage building), it served the practical need of preserving water in Iran's arid climate while showcasing the decorative and engineering sophistication characteristic of Persian design.
