Albi Cathedral, the Cathedral of Saint Cecilia, stands in Albi, France, as the seat of the Catholic Archbishop of Albi. Begun in 1282 and built over roughly 200 years, it is a brick Gothic structure whose fortress-like exterior contrasts with an interior of ornate choir screen, sculpture and bright blue and gold walls. It is a minor basilica and a classified historical monument, and it was designated a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 2010.
