The Allerheiligen-Hofkirche, a Catholic court church within the Munich Residenz, was designed by architect Leo von Klenze and constructed between 1826 and 1837 in the Rundbogenstil and Byzantine styles. Built from sandstone, this architectural heritage monument exemplifies Klenze's distinctive approach to ecclesiastical design. The building sustained severe damage during World War II bombing and remained in ruins for decades before undergoing partial restoration. Following secularization, it now functions as a venue for concerts and events rather than religious worship, serving as a testament to both nineteenth-century Bavarian architectural ambition and twentieth-century resilience.
