The Altes Palais, also called the Kaiser Wilhelm Palace, is a former royal Prussian residence on Unter den Linden in Berlin's Mitte district. Built between 1834 and 1837 to plans by Carl Ferdinand Langhans in the Neoclassical style for Prince William of Prussia, later William I, German Emperor, it was damaged in Allied bombing during World War II and rebuilt from 1963 to 1964 as part of the Forum Fridericianum. It is now home to the law faculty of the Humboldt-Universität.
