Amalfi Cathedral, a medieval Roman Catholic church dedicated to the Apostle Saint Andrew, stands in the Piazza del Duomo in Amalfi, Italy. Begun in the 9th and 10th centuries, it was later altered with Arab-Norman, Gothic, Renaissance and Baroque elements, and given a 19th-century Norman-Arab-Byzantine facade. Steps from the adjoining 9th-century Basilica of the Crucifix lead down to the crypt holding Saint Andrew's relics.
