The Ambassador Bridge is an Art Deco steel suspension bridge spanning the Detroit River between Detroit, Michigan, and Windsor, Ontario. Opened in 1929, it is a privately owned toll bridge that for decades was the busiest international border crossing in North America by trade volume, carrying more than a quarter of merchandise trade between the United States and Canada by value. It stands 118 metres high.
