Ammersoyen Castle is a brick castle in Ammerzoden, in the Bommelerwaard region of Gelderland, Netherlands, and is now also a museum and a Rijksmonument. Historians generally agree that the Van Herlaer family completed it in the 1350s, though some sources claim a 12th-century origin. It was first built beside a branch of the river Maas, which was rerouted a few years after completion, leaving the castle surrounded by a moat.
