The Arabahmet Mosque stands in the western Arab Ahmet Quarter of North Nicosia, Northern Cyprus, and is a classical example of Ottoman architecture. Built in the late 16th century and named after a commander of the 1571 Ottoman army, it was renovated in 1845, when the present structure dates from. It is rectangular, with a large central dome, three smaller domes over the entrance, and four more over the corners, and it is the only mosque in Cyprus to exhibit a typical Turkish dome.
