Designed by Erik Palmstedt and built between 1783 and 1794, it was originally the residence of Princess Sophia Albertina and has housed the Swedish Ministry of Foreign Affairs since 1906. It was declared a historical monument in 1935 and restored by Ivar Tengbom in 1948–52.
