The Austin History Center is a Renaissance Revival building in Austin, Texas, that opened as the city's official public library in 1933 and served as the main library until 1979. Designed by J. Roy White while working for the firm of Hugo Kuehne, founding dean of the University of Texas School of Architecture, it contains work by Austin craftsmen including ironworker Fortunat Wiegl, wood-carver Peter Mansbendel, and fresco artist Harold "Bubi" Jessen. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1993.
