The Balboa Pavilion stands in Newport Beach, Orange County, California, and was established on July 1, 1906, in the Queen Anne style. Listed on the National Register of Historic Places and designated a California Historical Landmark, it is one of the state's last surviving turn-of-the-century waterfront recreational pavilions. It helped attract real estate buyers to land once designated "swamp and overflow," and it remains the city's oldest standing building and most famous landmark.
