The Ballantrae Windmill, on Mill Hill above the old raised beach cliffs on the outskirts of Ballantrae in South Ayrshire, Scotland, survives as ruins. A vaulted tower windmill, it was built around 1696 and was disused by 1799. It is a Category A listed building, valued for its important place in early industrial development.
