The Barclay–Vesey Building, also known as 100 Barclay, stands at 140 West Street in Lower Manhattan, occupying an entire block beside the World Trade Center. Designed in the Art Deco style by Ralph Walker, it was built from 1923 to 1927 as his first major commission and is among the first Art Deco skyscrapers. Its vertical piers were designed as buttresses, with setbacks at the upper floors. Its exterior and first-floor interior are New York City landmarks.
