Basel Minster is a former Roman Catholic cathedral in the Swiss city of Basel, now a Reformed Protestant church. Built between 1019 and 1500 in Romanesque and Gothic styles, it was largely rebuilt after the 1356 Basel earthquake by Johannes Gmünd. Its red sandstone walls, coloured roof tiles and two slim towers make it one of the city's main landmarks, and it is a heritage site of national significance.
