The Basilica of St. Quirinus stands in Neuss, in western North Rhine-Westphalia, Germany. Built between 1209 and 1230, it is considered one of the best examples of Romanesque churches in Germany, with strong Lombard influence and early signs of Gothic, notably the first semicircular arches in its bell tower. Dedicated to the third-century Roman martyr Quirinus, it was elevated to the title of minor basilica by Pope Benedict XVI in 2009.
