The Batumi Cathedral of the Mother of God is a Georgian Orthodox cathedral in Batumi, capital of the Autonomous Republic of Adjara on Georgia's Black Sea coast. Built as a Roman Catholic church between 1898 and 1903, it was commissioned by the wealthy Zubalashvili brothers and designed by Polish architect Aleksander Rogojski in the Gothic Revival style. Closed in the Soviet era and used as a high-voltage laboratory, it was transferred to the Georgian Orthodox Church in 1989.
