Bellapais Abbey is a ruined monastery on the northern side of the village of Bellapais, about 5 kilometres from Kyrenia in Northern Cyprus. Built by canons regular, it stands at 220 metres above sea level and commands a long view down to Kyrenia and the Mediterranean. The site now operates as a museum with a restaurant and café, and its refectory hosts concerts and lectures, including classical music festivals in spring and early summer.
