The Bitterfelder Bogen is a steel observation tower and work of art erected in 2006 in Bitterfeld-Wolfen, Germany, designed by artist Claus Bury. Rising 28 meters, the structure takes the distinctive form of a steel arch bridge, functioning simultaneously as a lookout point and sculptural installation. Its dual nature—part functional viewing platform, part contemporary art object—reflects a contemporary approach to public monuments that blur the boundaries between utility and aesthetic expression.
