Blackburn House
Canehill, United States
Exterior only
Visible from the street; the inside is private.
The Blackburn House stands at Main and College Streets in Canehill, Arkansas, a 2½-story wood-frame house built in 1898 by a local doctor. It blends Queen Anne features, including asymmetrical massing and wood shingle gables, with the symmetry of Colonial Revival design seen in its porch and gabled entry pediment. Listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1988, it is a well-preserved local example of this transitional form.
