Bodie Island Light is a brick tower lighthouse on the Outer Banks of Dare County, North Carolina, just south of Nags Head and a few miles before Oregon Inlet. Built in 1872 to designs by Paul J. Pelz, it is the third lighthouse to stand in this vicinity. It is one of only about a dozen tall brick tower lighthouses remaining in the United States, retains an original first-order Fresnel lens, and is a contributing property of the National Register of Historic Places.
