The Boev Almshouse, built in 1890 in Moscow's Sokolniki District, exemplifies Russian Revival architecture of the late nineteenth century. Designed by architect Alexander Ober, the structure was conceived as a charitable institution for the poor. Its Russian Revival styling reflects the period's cultural and architectural nationalism. Today recognized as a tentative cultural heritage site in Russia, the almshouse stands as a testament to both philanthropic concerns and architectural identity of the fin-de-siècle Russian empire.
