Bojnice Castle is a château in the town of Bojnice, Slovakia, and is listed among the Cultural Heritage Monuments of Slovakia. It is a medieval castle, Romanesque at its core with some original Gothic and Renaissance elements, built in the 12th century. It was held by Hungarian kings and noblemen until it passed to Czechoslovakia after the Treaty of Trianon in 1920, and a Czech entrepreneur acquired it in 1939. It is one of Slovakia's most visited castles and a popular filming location for fantasy and fairy-tale films.
