Brooklyn Borough Hall stands in Downtown Brooklyn, New York City. Designed by Calvin Pollard and Gamaliel King in the Greek Revival style and built of Tuckahoe marble under superintendent Stephen Haynes, it was completed in 1848 as the City Hall of the independent City of Brooklyn. After the city merged into New York City in 1898, it became Brooklyn Borough Hall.
