Brussels-Central is an underground railway and metro station in central Brussels, Belgium, and the second busiest railway station in the country. Designed in the functionalist style by Maxime Brunfaut and Victor Horta, work began in 1937, but it was first completed only in 1952 after delays caused by economic difficulties and World War II. It is a protected monument and one of the city's three principal rail stations, alongside Brussels-South and Brussels-North, and is linked to lines 1 and 5 of the Brussels Metro.
