Demolished or destroyed.
The Buen Retiro Palace was a large royal palace complex in Madrid, Spain, designed by the architect Alonso Carbonell (c. 1590–1660) and built on the orders of Philip IV as a secondary residence and place of recreation, which gave it its name. Built on what was then the eastern edge of the city, it is now largely gone, and what remains of its buildings and gardens forms part of Retiro Park. Its architecture is Baroque.
