The Cast Iron House, at the corner of Franklin Street and Broadway in Tribeca, Manhattan, was built in 1881–82 to designs by W. Wheeler Smith in the Italianate style. Its cast-iron facade is a good example of late cast-iron architecture. It was designated a New York City landmark in 1982 and listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1983.
