The Burrard Bridge, officially the Burrard Street Bridge, is an Art Deco steel truss bridge in Vancouver, British Columbia, built between 1930 and 1932 by architect George Lister Thornton Sharp and engineer John R. Grant. It spans False Creek, linking downtown Vancouver with Kitsilano. Its central span is a Pratt truss set above deck level for ship clearance, concealed at each end by concrete towers. Pierced concrete railings were designed so motorists at about 50 km/h would see the harbour through them.
