Demolished or destroyed.
Cadouin Abbey is a former Cistercian monastery in Le Buisson-de-Cadouin, in the Dordogne of south-west France. Founded as a hermitage in 1115 and made an abbey in 1119, it is built in the Romanesque style. Its abbey church still stands, and the abbey forms part of a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Its prestige as a pilgrimage site rested on a cloth believed to be the facecloth from Christ's tomb.
