The Calella Lighthouse is an active lighthouse in the coastal town of Calella on the Costa del Maresme, about 58 km northeast of Barcelona, Catalonia, Spain. Construction began on 9 October 1856 under the engineer Marià Parellada, and it was inaugurated on 15 December 1859. Its light sits 50 metres above sea level and can be seen for 18 nautical miles. The lamp was first fuelled by oil, later by paraffin and petrol, and electricity was introduced in 1927. It is classed as a cultural asset within Catalonia's cultural heritage.
