The Canadian Museum of History is a national museum of anthropology, Canadian history, cultural studies and ethnology in Gatineau, Quebec, across the river from Ottawa. It occupies a 75,000-square-metre building designed by Douglas Cardinal. Its origins lie in a museum established by the Geological Survey of Canada in 1856, and it took its present name in 2013.
