Carcassonne Cathedral, dedicated to Saint Michael, is a Catholic cathedral and designated national monument in Carcassonne, France, built in the Meridional Gothic style. Begun in 1247 as a parish church, it was rebuilt as a fortified church after damage in the Hundred Years' War. In 1803 it was elevated to cathedral status, and it is now the seat of the Roman Catholic Bishop of Carcassonne and Narbonne.
