Carlisle railway station, also known as Carlisle Citadel, is a Grade II* listed union station in Carlisle, Cumbria, England, and a principal stop on the West Coast Main Line. Built in a neo-Tudor style to designs by English architect William Tite, it first opened in September 1847, a year before construction was completed. By 1851 it had become the city's dominant station, after the others were closed and their services redirected to it.
