Carnton is a Greek Revival plantation house in Franklin, Williamson County, Tennessee, built in 1826 and listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1973. During the Battle of Franklin in 1864, it served as the principal temporary field hospital, and the bodies of four deceased Confederate generals were laid out on its back porch. It is now a museum managed by the Battle of Franklin Trust, a non-profit organization.
