The Carolina Inn is a hotel on the University of North Carolina campus in Chapel Hill, North Carolina. Arthur Nash designed the Colonial Revival and Neoclassical building, which opened in 1924. Alumnus John Sprunt Hill built its original red-brick block on the site of the chapel that gave the town its name, and donated it to the university in 1935. A gambrel roof, central cupola, and two-story portico with six paneled wooden pillars mark its façade. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1999.
