Casa Campanini
Milan, Italy
Exterior only
Visible from the street; the inside is private.
Casa Campanini is an Art Nouveau house at 11 Via Bellini in Milan, Italy, completed between 1903 and 1906 by the architect Alfredo Campanini, who later lived in it. Its main entrance is marked by concrete caryatids by the sculptor Michele Vedani, a reference to those of Palazzo Castiglioni, another Art Nouveau building in Milan. The wrought iron gate, designed by Campanini and made by Alessandro Mazzucotelli, carries flower motifs that recur in the iron lift cage.
