The Casa de las Conchas is a mansion in Salamanca, central Spain, now housing a public library. Built from 1493 to 1517 by Rodrigo Arias de Maldonado, a knight of the Order of Santiago and a professor at the University of Salamanca, it is known for its façade, which mixes late Gothic and Plateresque elements and is decorated with more than 300 shells, a symbol of the Order of Santiago and of pilgrims on the Way of St. James.
