Casa Serra is a Modernisme-style residence in Barcelona's Dreta de l'Eixample, designed by Josep Puig i Cadafalch and constructed between 1903 and 1908 for Pere Serra, who never occupied it. Located at the corner of Rambla de Catalunya and Avinguda Diagonal, the building originally showcased Catalan modernism's ornamental vocabulary across its full footprint. In 1981, the section facing Avinguda Diagonal was demolished and replaced by a contemporary office building by architects Federico Correa and Alfonso Milá, completed in 1987 to house provincial council offices—a stylistic juxtaposition that generated considerable controversy. The building now serves as the seat of the Provincial Deputation of Barcelona and holds the designation of Cultural Asset of National Interest.
