The Rocha Forte Castle is a ruined fort near Santiago de Compostela in Galicia, Spain. First mentioned in written documents from 1253, it was probably built earlier. Unlike many forts, it stands in a valley rather than on a hill, where it could control traffic on the road from Padrón to Santiago. It also served as a residence for the Archbishop. Damaged in the 15th-century Irmandiño wars, it was abandoned, and its walls were dismantled in 1472.
