The Castle of the Pico (Castello dei Pico), built in 1102, stands in the centre of Mirandola, in the province of Modena, Italy, and is designated Italian national heritage. Long regarded as impregnable, it belonged to the House of Pico della Mirandola, who ruled the city from 1311 to 1711. Restored in 2006 after years of neglect, it was severely damaged by the 2012 Northern Italy earthquakes.
