The Castle of Zafra stands on a sandstone outcrop in the Sierra de Caldereros, in the municipality of Campillo de Dueñas, Guadalajara, Spain. Built in the late 12th or early 13th century on the site of an earlier Visigothic and Berber fortification taken by Christians in 1129, it was never conquered and held out against the King of Castile in the 13th century. Its private owners have restored it since 1971, and it is a bien de interés cultural that can be visited with their permission.
