Castle Terrace Car Park in Edinburgh is a brutalist multistorey parking garage completed around 1966, notable as Scotland's first modern multistorey car park and an early European example of the continuous ramp design. Commissioned by the Edinburgh Corporation and designed by Kinnear & Gordon and T. Waller Marwick & Associates, the structure was inspired by a Copenhagen car park from 1958. Situated on Castle Terrace across from Argyle House, it was thoughtfully designed to preserve sightlines to Edinburgh Castle. Designated a category B listed building in October 2019, the car park remains largely unaltered since completion and has appeared in contemporary film.
