The Cathedral of Christ the Light, also called Oakland Cathedral, is the Roman Catholic cathedral of the Diocese of Oakland at 2121 Harrison Street in Oakland, California. Designed by Craig W. Hartman of Skidmore, Owings & Merrill, it was consecrated in 2008 and was the first cathedral built entirely in the 21st century. It replaced the Cathedral of Saint Francis de Sales, irreparably damaged in the 1989 Loma Prieta earthquake.
