Strasbourg Cathedral, also called the Cathedral of Our Lady of Strasbourg, stands in the centre of the Place de la Cathédrale in Strasbourg, Alsace, France. Though much of it remains Romanesque, it is widely regarded as one of the finest examples of Rayonnant Gothic architecture. Built of reddish-brown Vosges sandstone, it rises 142 metres and was the world's tallest building from 1647 to 1874.
