Holy Rosary Cathedral, formally the Cathedral of Our Lady of the Holy Rosary, is a French Gothic Revival Catholic church at the intersection of Richards and Dunsmuir streets in downtown Vancouver, Canada. Construction began in 1899 on the site of an earlier church of the same name, and it opened on December 8, 1900. Its style has been compared to Chartres Cathedral in France. Elevated to cathedral status in 1916, it serves the Archdiocese of Vancouver, was consecrated in 1953, and is a legally protected heritage building.
